The Bowerbank Gas Field is located in the Southern San Joaquin Valley, about 22 miles of Bakersfield, California. The Bowerbank field was discovered in 1942 by Texaco and has produced approximately 20 billion cubic feet of gas. Royale revived the production in this field with a 19 well drilling program that started in 1994. Royale’s discovery rate has been over 75% with 16 of these wells completed as gas producers.
