San Diego, California, January 18, 1996 - Royale Energy, Inc. has completed the Royale Dozier Pressley #5 on January 15, 1996, from perforations in very good quality Anderson sands.

The 8,000 feet well tested at rates of 3,230,000 cubic feet of natural gas per day with little pressure decline, producing high BTU gas, some condensate and no water.  The zone appears to have excellent productivity with pressures and production rate stabilizing within fifteen minutes.

The Dozier  Pressley #5 well was drilled in Sec.15, T.3 N, R.2 E, Solano County, California, utilizing some of Royale's proprietary seismic data.

Up to three additional wells will be drilled on this acreage beginning second quarter.
